[Your consciousness drifts in to the sound of discordant whispers. It sounds like a hushed argument in another room, something you can't quite catch. You're cold. Your skin tingles slightly, and then...]
[He doesn't get it. He doesn't understand it, except that Sion's been nice to him, this part, and helped some places, but he's murdering others and he's not really equipped to understand why. Just that he doesn't want to be abandoned, so he can't argue very strongly.]
Killing things just because they're a threat isn't right or good. But this thing, specifically, it won't let you grow. So I'm going to do something that's not good, but I hope will end up good for you. But it's not something to take as an example to follow. This is a desperate measure. Maybe someone better than me would find a better way--
Maybe you'll become someone better who can find ways to do things that aren't violent or cruel. That's what I want, I think that will help you. Can you understand a little?
This isn't right but it's the option I see, and eventually you might be someone who sees even better options, that don't hurt anyone.
[He doesn't really understand. But he's taking it in and trying to process it anyway. He'll think on it, like on other things Sion's said, which is better than might be expected.]
[You may have to use some kind of flammable cleaning liquid this time as booze is absent, but you'll find things. The tiny just kind of watches in nervous awe.]
[You will find a bedroom. It was a nice normal bedroom with bookshelves and nothing to stand out but now it's all bloody and full of sharp things. There is an Ariel sitting crosslegged on the bed just waiting for someone to come in, so you have about half a second before you are squashed.]
[Probably a good thing you went with the chemicals too. This Ariel is very dangerous, fully powered, in the form of himself as he was when he died, middle-aged but very fit, and he could probably snuff a bit of fire. Not so much when he can't see or breathe for the fumes and all that other fun stuff so you pull it off. Another room torched.]
[He's kind of staring at the door. Yeah that had associations with the part of this bit that relates to war trauma, burning and screaming. You may have those flickers of eleven-year-old again. But he is also way out of it so he just slowly looks up at Sion and nods numbly.]

So I make it not exist first?

[This isn't quite--well no it's exactly what he's doing but the kid shouldn't think this way.]
You can be better than you are, but not with something like...

[He kneels and tugs him into a hug, shh, it's okay. Let me pick you up and we'll go out the door you said was a new area.]
