[ Because he's going to show you to a secret passage and there will be tons of twists and turns and avoiding people and then they are out and at the harbourside of the city, so far from the palace. ]
[It's so exciting! He's never snuck around like that -- he's never done anything bad, and it's absolutely exhilarating. So he's smiling giddily by the time they come out, and stares in wonder at the busy city.]
[Yesss great! Ariel is absolutely delighted the whole time. He's happy to see things, and people, and meets everything and everyone with innocent friendliness. After awhile though he's getting tired, unused to being on his feet for long.]

He doesn't want to burden anyone with worries or bad feelings, so he just tries to stay cheerful and helpful and positive, like he's always been encouraged to be. Like he should be, because things have been happy when he's been that way. Unhappiness is just a side effect of thinking too hard and being anything but pleasant.]
[He flushes a bit, watching Jupiter's face. He's feeling down, but he's still totally taken in at the drop of a hat. There's just something about Jupiter that makes his heart rush.]
